Lost at Sea

Doctors without Borders
Worked as an Animation Assistant for Presence Team under the direction of Richard Swarbrick. For the project, I animated in Adobe Photoshop and After Effects.
This film draws inspiration from Muhib's real-life experiences. He found himself stranded on a fishing boat in the Andaman Sea, where he and others witnessed the loss of 27 lives, underscoring the immense risks faced by those fleeing conflict and persecution.
The film uses documentary footage painted frame-by-frame with music and poetry from Rohingya artists to tell Muhib’s story in a unique hybrid animation format. This powerful narrative has earned prestigious awards, including the Best International Short Film at the Heroes International Film Festival in Rome and the 4th Chema Castiello Award for Best Short Film.
